I used to say, "I'm open to receive." It sounded beautiful and expansive.
But during my recent Goddess Unleashed group call, one of the goddesses said something that stopped me in my tracks. She smiled and said:
"We're always open to receiving something."
And suddenly, I saw it. Being "open to receive" isn't automatically a good thing. We can be open to receiving:
Drama.
Fear.
Scarcity.
Criticism.
Other people's projections.
Constant urgency.
Even stories that were never ours to carry.
So, perhaps the invitation isn't simply to be open. Perhaps it's to become intentional.
Instead of saying, "I'm open to receive..." try asking yourself: "What am I opening myself to receive?"
Today, I am opening myself to receive:
✨ More peace than pressure.
✨ More joy than fear.
✨ More belonging than loneliness.
✨ More love than self-protection.
✨ More opportunities than obstacles.
✨ More beauty, community, abundance, rest, and truth.
Because where we place our attention, our hearts begin to make room. And perhaps receiving isn't about opening every door—it's about opening the right ones.
✨ Reflection:
Complete this sentence: Today, I am open to receive _______________.
I’d love to hear your answer in the comments.
